How Far Jerusalem 1

The start of two armies in one; Late Crusaders for both DBA and ADLG. The miniatures are all from Gladiator Miniatures formerly owned by Black Hat Figures and now by Fighting 15s.

These have all been a part of this year's Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge IX and have been painted using block colours and a wash of Agrax Earthshade for tone.

First two stands of spearmen showing Brother Knights and Brother Sergeants from the period between 1259 and 1273 when Brother Knights wore red tunics and Brother Sergeants remained in black. The papal bull was not popular and eventually over turned so that all Brothers wore red.

The decals are water slide transfers and are from VVV. Going back to water slide transfers is quite refreshing and they still apply well if Micro Sol and Set are used sparingly. The shields are 15mm scale and the tabards are 10mm in scale.

Crossbow and archers again from the sergeants.

Spearmen and crossbowmen as they will be on the table for ADLG - the double depth is visually effective and allows mini dioramas to be created.

More of these to follow shortly.

Cheers for now
