And Now for Something Completely Different 17

Another seven retro orcs from Citadel and Ral Partha taking the total so far to twenty-one. These have been painted avoiding brighter colours as is common with many figures from their modern counter parts. These have recently been entered into the Analogue Painting Challenge.

By using colours from Foundry's WW2 range these orcs have a more uniform and militaristic appearance which is more realistic given their warlike nature.

The choice of colours whilst painting gives the orcs a darker look which suit their nature and lifestyle and reflects the personal interpretation of these warriors from fiction such as The Lord of the Rings.

The figures have been great to paint and are full of character and nostalgic memories of games gone by. So much so, that a Oldhammer Orc army is being researched for a future project.

There will be more completed work to follow over the weekend and hopefully some work in progress pictures too.

Lastly, a warm welcome to:
  • Lord of Excess
  • JFaria
Hope that you both find something of interest here.

Cheers for now
