The figures will be varnished and finally based over the next few nights before being photographed and the final pictures sent to the competition. Next up from this army will be the three bases of archers which have already been base coated for the flesh.
Here is the first of the speed painted pirates that are currently being worked on. Each figure is base painted in twenty minutes and then washed with Devlan Mud from the Games Workshop range of washes. That's it finished except for basing. There are ten of these from Foundry and 5 from Old Glory which should make for an interesting crew; anyway enough rambling here is the first picture.
Cheers for now

Very nice, I like the way you've painted the shields.
Nice work on those Mycenaeans - realistic look to the shields too. Best, Dean

I´m always very happy to see Trojan War miniatures. Great job in those! Blogs like this helps me to find inspiration to paint my own Trojans.
Cheers.
Thanks everybody this unit is very near completion and will be posted on Analogue Hobbies blogspot in the next day or so.
All the blogs that I follow give inspiration in a variety of ways, especially those with common subjects.
Next up Hector's chariot - anybody have any advice on reins?
Cheers
