Somethings take longer than others and this Viking Hirdman from Gripping Beast is a prime example of this.
What should have taken about an hour to finish off probably took double that.
The problem lies with not being able to have a reasonable time at the painting table just now. With both the motivation to paint and general energy levels being low; it's not having the time it is making the time spent painting count.
Sat down at the painting table earlier today and felt like putting everything in a box and leaving only one figure there to be painted. With the Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge drawing nearer and looking to participate for the 8th consecutive year perhaps a change will be better than a rest. What that change will be remains to be seen.
Day: 22
Figures painted: 2
Cheers for now

Your Viking looks good! If painting time minimal or motivation is low, pick an item out of the pile that increases the motivation to paint and make a fresh start. Maybe you need a new project or some new figures?
Thanks Jonathan,
Will look to this later today!

Don’t get pressed, this is a hobby! Do as when and as you like. Agree with Jonathan, you may need thinking about a new project, start with a film, a series or a book and then build up upon it. This is what I’m currently dong with my Red Devils for Chain of Command, that started with reading a book about Nijmegen and the 82nd Airborne
Looks great!
Well he might have taken an extra hour but he looks great! I've got twelve 28mm Napoleonic French dragoons sitting staring at me half painted for the last month,I'm merrily prepping figures, I'll finish them in my own good time!
Best Iain
